The PSP social media presence continues to grow! On Twitter, several daily Tweets go out to 31,252 followers -- the ones God wants us to impact, along with their followers. Followers include leaders at every level, from local municipalities to members of Congress, as well as many notable Christian leaders and pastors nationwide. In addition, there are thousands of folks leading everyday lives who are impacting leaders and the United States in countless ways through their prayers. That impact will be known in eternity, but also is desperately needed "for such a time as this." It is common to be retweeted at least one million times per week! Some recent replies include:
• Nebraska Congressman Rep. Don Bacon (@RepDonBacon): "I'm grateful for your prayers"
• New York Senator Jose Peralta (@SenatorPeralta): "Thank you for your prayers"
• West Virginia Delegate Dianna Graves (@DiannaLGraves): "Thank you so much. May God bless you for your caring and kindness."
• South Dakota Senator Stace Nelson (@SenStaceNelson): "Pray harder!"
• Indiana Rep Robin Shackleford (RCShackleford): "Thank you for every prayer & kind thought; much appreciated."
• On publicservantsprayer.org. sign up for emails from PSP so you can pray daily for three leaders and even contact them with a quick email.
• On Facebook, look for "PSP" and your state (i.e. PSP Indiana).
• For Twitter, follow states: @Praying4_[state code]. For example: @Praying4_IN, @Praying4_TX, etc. as well as our ministry account @PSPministry.
PSP also had a booth at the National Council of State Legislators Summit in Los Angeles July 28-August 1. Numerous times legislators exclaimed, "We need all the prayer we can get!", "So you're the ones that send me notes and Tweets to tell me you are praying for me. Thank you!"
Many guests signed up on the PSP website to pray for their leaders in their respective states, and we met several international legislators and guests interested to start praying for leaders of their own countries: Canada, Germany, Kenya, Sudan, Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa. We look forward to what God is doing worldwide as we #Pray4Leaders!
