Keeping You Posted! ~August & September Report ~ 2024

Dear Friends and Supporters, I am working from home this morning, writing this as servicemen replace a broken pane in my sliding glass door (the victim of a rock and a zealous lawn mower). I often find that our leaders have the same challenges at home as I do. Things break and must be dealt with. Laundry piles up and must be done. A loved one becomes sick. A vehicle breaks down. A relationship becomes strained. The job demands a lot of time away from family, often more than anticipated. They cannot share these challenges with their constituents or the media. But they can and do share them with me. We can commiserate and laugh together over a cup of coffee or tea. They know I understand; they know I will pray. All glory to God for what I now report. He has opened doors, built relationships, and granted favor for ministry to thrive and bear much fruit for Him. Fellowship

We kicked off August with our First Monday Fellowship Lunch for the Capital Ladies' Bible Study. (Our Bible study class is held on the lunch hour, so it does not allow much time for prayer and fellowship. First Mondays fill that need. It is always a favorite event.) Once lunch was over, a few of us drove to Louisville to support Jessica as she was invited to sing for the Prayer Breakfast at the National Conference of State Legislators. The NCSL is the largest gathering of state legislators in the nation. And if you know Jessica, you know she did a wonderful job. Praise the Lord!

Expansion

The launch of a bi-monthly prayer meeting at the Cass County Courthouse by our teammate Vicki Maughmer was very successful, and the group has been growing. Christy Knotts' group at the Sullivan County Courthouse has expanded also, not only meeting for prayer but for Bible study as well! We thank the Lord for the favor shown us and the opportunity for ministry to leaders at the local level. I continue to encourage you to prayerfully consider making a foray into your local government leadership circles, even if it is only to tell them you are praying for them. You will be surprised by how much they appreciate this and the difference it will make! Tea with Pam

Thank you, Karen Davis, for hosting a tea (or rather, a wonderful lunch!) in your home. This was a great opportunity to share with your guests the powerful impact of praying for leaders and the work of the PSP ministry in the Indiana Statehouse, the local courthouse, the nation, and around the globe. As I have heard many times before, several women commented, “I had no idea this was happening. I am so encouraged to hear what God is doing!”

"Tea"/ Luncheon with Pam Hostess Karen Davis

If you would like to host a "Tea with Pam" or other speaking engagement, we would be delighted to come and share. These events can be in a church, a home, or elsewhere, as simple or elaborate as desired. If you are interested in hosting, please contact Jessica.

On October 17th, we will be holding our 20th Anniversary Celebration & Fundraiser. I do hope you will plan to celebrate with us as we give report of the amazing things God has done!
