Keeping You Posted! Merry Christmas ~2024~

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Well, just as predicted, I blinked, and it is December. As I look back over 2024 at all that the Lord has done in opening new doors and strengthening old connections, I am filled with wonder and gratitude.

The Legislative Session

The Legislative Session was, as always, full and fast. It was filled with the regular, daily and weekly prayer times, Bible studies, and ministry of presence, as well as the Session-time ministries of Faith@Work, Soup’s On, and Bagels & Books. The Leadership Bible Study averaged 35-40 members in attendance each week. Annual prayer events like the Statehouse Prayer Service, Women’s Statehouse Day, and the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast also took up much time in planning, preparation, and execution, and were well attended by state leaders and guests. “To God be the glory; great things He hath done!"

Assurance of Salvation

We lost one of our state senators during Session this year. While she was on hospice, I was able to share Scripture and pray with her to have assurance of meeting Jesus when she died. I consider it a great honor to have had that critical time with her.

The Interim

In the “interim,” ministry continues at a much more "doable" pace. We organize summer fellowships, travel and visit legislators in their districts, make hospital visits and attend funerals, and do discipleship over lunch or a cup of coffee. This year, Jessica and I traveled for “Tea with Pam” where we shared about the PSP ministry work. The two “Capital Call” launches in Sullivan and Cass County were successful and continue to flourish. Praise God! Thank you, Christy Knotts and Vicki Maughmer, for your ministry work in these counties!

Fall Speaking Opportunities

Thank you for praying for my speaking opportunities. We welcome aboard the ladies of Hope Baptist Church, LaFontaine Christian Church, Valparaiso Nazarene Church, and Tipton Baptist Church! Thank you for joining us and getting excited about praying for and ministering to your elected leaders.

Printing Fund

Thank you for giving so generously to the printing fund! $750 has come in! I would like to do a reprint of Brushstrokes of Leadership, the devotional I wrote from the life of Moses. We are completely out. $1,500 will reprint 100 copies; though, I would like to be able to double that amount. Thank you for giving. Even small gifts add up quickly!

Looking Ahead To 2025

As we look ahead to the 2025 Legislative Session, we are busy planning and prepping. There are newly elected leaders to minister to and get to know, most of whom will be "drinking from a firehose" for their first few weeks. We are also looking ahead to a possible trip to Uruguay in May.

Would you consider hosting a tea in 2025? This is often a great way to help raise funds for my support. Would you host a Capital Call, a regional Women’s Statehouse Day, in your area? Would you pray about reaching out to the leaders in your county courthouse?

Prayers Please

Please take a moment right now to pray for the following:

Praise God for what He has done! Pray for us as we prepare for the 2025 Session. Pray for your elected leaders. Pray for open doors in more Indiana counties. Pray for the reprint need. Pray for my great-granddaughter, Quinn (10), at Riley Children’s Hospital undergoing chemo treatments for lymphoma.

You Are Invited! Please join us for the 21st Annual Statehouse Prayer Service!

Thank you, partners. You are amazing! I am so grateful for your faithful and generous support and prayer! I cannot do what I do without you. For Him, Pam Pam Russell Indiana Statehouse Women's Chaplain
