CH Pam Russell & Sullivan County Recorder Christy Knotts - Launching Ministry in Sullivan County Courthouse

Keeping You Posted! ~May 2024~ Dear Friends and Supporters,

The month of May has been full of exciting ministry opportunities and open doors! We trust you will be blessed by this update!

Ministry Launch in the Sullivan County Courthouse

Last month, Jessica and I traveled to Sullivan, Indiana, to meet the County Recorder who wished to start a women's ministry in the county courthouse. On May 2 (National Day of Prayer), she launched the first prayer event at the courthouse and visited the offices, gathering prayer requests from leaders and staff. She has had a good response from the women and has officially begun a weekly prayer group. Now, just one month later, she reported that nine women have committed to attend a weekly Bible study that will start this Tuesday, June 4. We are very excited about the expansion and that women are catching the vision to replicate what we do at the county level. Anita Luckhaupt - Anita was invited to open an event in prayer in her county and to share the ministry of PSP.

Vicki Maughmer - Vicki was also invited to open an event in prayer in her county. She is also actively seeking to start ministry to women in the Cass County Courthouse.

Rita Bowman - At the invitation of the Indianapolis Center Township Trustee, La Donna Freeman, our Rita Bowman began a “Waffles & A Word” ministry (copying our "Bagels & Books" ministry) with the staff of the Trustees' office. Rita had the opportunity to pray with ten individuals during the morning! Praise God!

Being Ready at a Moment’s Notice Matt and I had a rather unique ministry opportunity this month. Matt had been invited to give the

invocation at the grand opening of the national headquarters for a former legislator's business. I went along, I thought, to support Matt and the owner, who is a friend of PSP. However, the soloist who was scheduled to sing the National Anthem canceled at the last minute. So, Matt volunteered to sing the National Anthem and passed the job of praying on to me - at a moment's notice! It was an honor and a blessing to just be available and willing, and God certainly enabled. The ceremony went off seemingly without a hitch or embarrassment to the host. The opportunity and outcome well reflect the teamwork that God has woven into the PSP ministry. (Picture Above: Pam Russell Giving the Invocation) Prayer & Praises

Praise the Lord for the above reports, and continue to pray for these opportunities. Printing Costs: One challenge I regularly face is the ever-growing cost of printing for the books and Bible studies that I have written. My desire is to make these in-depth Bible studies available to women’s groups inside the Statehouse, the courthouses, and beyond, as well as having copies available to give as gifts. It can cost as much as $1,500 - $2,000 for one series! I hope you catch the vision and see the amazing potential to reach many public servants with the Word of God through this initiative! If the Lord prompts you to join us by investing in this work, we would be thrilled! When donating through the PSP website or by check, you can specifically designate funds to “Capital Call.” I would be grateful for your prayers too in this endeavor. Prayers for my family are always appreciated.

Thank you, partners! You are amazing, and I am so grateful for your faithful and generous support and prayer! For Him, Pam Women's Chaplain Pam Russell
