Intern Testimony

Serving with Public Servants’ Prayer has been a rewarding experience for me. The Bible studies and chapel services I feel are the most beneficial events that take place at the statehouse. All employees and political leaders are allowed to share, teach, and hear from one another. As I listened to them share their testimonies and life experiences, Christ remained the answer to all their problems. It was very encouraging to know that whatever level we are at in life, we all experience the same issues, and we all need Christ to overcome those issues.

Sitting in the legislative sessions in the House and Senate chambers opened up my understanding to the importance of being able to give a biblical response to issues. There are so many decisions that our political leaders have to make, and if their decisions are not biblically-based, those decisions can be very damaging to our lives.

I really enjoyed Bagels and Books. It gave the opportunity to not only meet and greet those who serve us in the statehouse but also opened the door for ministry through conversations with them as they began their day of work.

My walk with Christ has definitely grown through my experience. I see individuals as people that Christ died for regardless of their title, financial status, or race. All individuals need to be ministered to and taught the truth, and it is our duty to do just that.
