Modern-Day Deborahs and Esthers

At the Parlamento & Fe Global Conference held in His Eternal Capital, Jerusalem, the Lord did exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think, and women were a great part of His work. For example, our translator, Caroline, was a precious gift to our Indiana Team in friendship, fellowship, resourcefulness, and to my delight, is a fellow Brit! We spent many hours with her on tours and in conference meetings benefitting from her language gifts, and her network of friends landed us some unforgettable encounters. During free time Caroline gave us personal tours through Jerusalem’s old city streets and markets and was our very own haggler for the best prices!

The contingency from Bolivia to the conference was made up completely of women, all lawyers, one a “Deputado” in the nation’s legislature. In Bolivia these women are a voice for those who have no voice. Each year in the legislature they carefully and graciously defend the rights of the unborn and of abused women, and in a land where the Bible no longer carries authority they use existing laws in their arguments, their “suggestions” to legislators. After I spoke at the conference, the Bolivian ladies took me aside to speak to me (with the help of Caroline). They were taken with what the Lord has done here in the Indiana capitol and wanted to know more. They lead a group called “Victorious Women” (imagine that in Spanish) and have invited me to go to Bolivia to speak and to train them to do what I do. Please pray that the Lord will ensure that this will soon happen. My prayer is for the Lord to raise up armies of women around the globe praying for their nations’ leaders. Imagine the results!

On the last day we had a sweet time of prayer for one another. Praise God for what He is doing through women in capitals around the globe! And thank you for undergirding me in these endeavors with your prayer and financial support.
