<b>Keeping You Posted</b>

Dear Prayer Partners,

We are waiting with bated breath to hear when we can get “back on track” and return to ministry as usual in the Statehouse and around the state. Those we serve are just as anxious to see us back!

<b>Ministry Video Conferencing</b>

Our women’s Bible studies continue to have great attendance through video conferencing. Everyone rejoices to see each other’s faces, though they do miss being able to hug each other! We are working our way through the book of Exodus, and, of course, all the lessons seem so timely. How relevant the Scriptures always are, speaking biblical truth into our culture and climate, and always pointing us to Christ!

<b>Leaders Under Pressure</b>

Our public servants are still dealing with the effect of the COVID19 quarantine on their ownconstituents they represent. One legislator I spoke with is keeping her grandchildren while their parents man the front lines in the medical field. Another legislator told us that he keeps two folders: one for those who want the state to open up fast, one for those who want to keep things shut down. Other leaders have lost loved ones during the quarantine, and you know how difficult that is. Obviously, our leaders need wisdom and strength as they deal with both the upheaval in their personal lives and the burdens of their leadership during this pandemic.

<b>Indianapolis Prayer Service</b>

Even during this time of social distancing, however, we had the opportunity recently to get together for a prayer event. Pastor Tim Lindsey, our PSP chaplain for the city of Indianapolis, has had the desire for quite some time now to have a PSP Indianapolis Prayer Service, modeled after our PSP Statehouse Prayer Service, but focused on our city leaders. This idea was brought up again in the wake of the recent unrest, and almost overnight Tim organized a prayer service in front of the City County Building that we held Wednesday, June 3. Mayor Joe Hogsett, President of the City Council Vop Osili, several other members of the city council, IMPD chaplains, legislators, and local pastors and leaders participated. You likely saw it on Facebook where it was live-streamed, or on Channel Six or Fox 59 news, who also covered it. It was well received, and was amazingly viewed online by over 43,000 people. We are so thankful for those who prayed with us online, and especially grateful to those of you who were able to join us live, praying for our leaders and showing them our love and support. <b>New Faces and Favor</b>

Recently, the 2020 primaries took place, and though things were a little different because of the quarantine, several legislators retired this year, so I am already starting to look for the new faces that will grace the House and Senate next year. I can be praying for them now, and so can you! The Lord gave me great favor last year to establish relationships with several of the new women legislators, and I ask you to pray that that continues. Additionally, please pray for those who lost in the primaries - for grace, comfort, and acceptance. It is not easy.

Thank You! I hope this update will help you to know better how to pray for your leaders. They tell us how grateful they are for you and your prayers for them. Thank you for continuing to support us as well, in prayer and financially, as our ministry opportunities continue to abound. We cannot do what we do without you!
