A Letter from Vice President Mike Pence

Greetings to each of you gathered at the Public Servants' Prayer Fall Banquet.

Karen and 1 are grateful for Public Servants' Prayer and its growing ministry to political leaders in Indiana and across our country. As Governor of Indiana, 1 was humbled to see firsthand your faithful outreach to Indiana's leaders through statehouse prayer services, legislator Bible studies, and ministry to staff members. 1 am thankful for the ongoing outreach of Chaplain Matthew Barnes and his Public Servants' Prayer team - leaders who demonstrate humility, servanthood, and a deep appreciation for the unique challenges public servants face.

As a grateful Hoosier now privileged to serve as our nation's 48th Vice President, 1 have long looked to the pages of Scripture for hope in any hour. It tells us that if His people, who are called by His name, will humble themselves and pray, He will hear from heaven and heal their land. While millennia have passed since God first handed down that promise, 1 believe those ancient words still ring just as true today.

With God's help and your prayers, I am confident we will witness healing in our land, in our day - renewal that sweeps across Indiana's amber waves of grain to the farthest reaches of America's shores.

Thank you for your continued prayers for all those who serve in public life. May God bless Public Servants' Prayer, and may God bless our great land called America.

-Michael R. Pence, Vice President of the United States
