__________ PSP TEAM UPDATES
Pam Russell *Statehouse Women's Chaplain*** This has been a very full and very fast year, and praise the Lord, I have spent much time “in the trenches” with our public servants. The number of women holding public office is increasing, and I am proactive in meeting the new ones, attending their “swearing-in,” and welcoming them to the legislative family. It is a great opportunity to establish a relationship with them and to be a point of orientation for the things they need to learn about the building and its culture. Thus, they are prayed and cared for before they start work in earnest. This year marks a couple of historic moments for me. The Capitol Ladies Bible Study celebrated thirteen years of ministry. Praise Him! And, I have now ministered to three generations of women in one family given to serving in elected office. But this is Christmas! And it would not be Christmas without a party. So, here is a picture of the hospitality side of the ministry, another way in which we care for those the Lord gives us to love and shepherd.

Vicki Maughmer *Judicial Prayer Director* Greetings! Thank you so much for your support and encouragement! As I reflect upon this past year, I am reminded of the power of prayer and the goodness of God. Praying for the Judiciary is a privilege and an honor. Judges have enormous responsibility. The difficult decisions before them each day bring satisfaction to some and produce outrage in others. Give thanks to the Lord for these men and women who are dedicated public servants. Keep praying for their protection, godly wisdom, and a seeking heart. Wishing you the peace and love of Christ this Christmas season. Jessica Ray *Executive Assistant* As I write this, I am sitting next to my sister in a North Carolina hospital room following her third surgery to remove cancer. I thank the Lord for our loving ministry team who allows me and encourages me to work remotely and/or take off work to be here for these moments. I am so thankful for a team who has been PRAYING for me and my family at this time.
*Galatians 6:2 says, "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so FULFILL the law of Christ."* *1 Peter 5:7 encourages us to cast ALL our cares (burdens, anxieties, etc.) "upon Him [Christ]; for He careth for you."* I am thankful for a God Who cares so much that He would ask us to allow Him to carry our burdens. I am thankful for a God Who teaches us to LOVE one another as He loves us by sharing in one another's joys and sorrows. I am thankful for YOU. Thank you for praying for our PSP team as each of our families have been bearing heavy loads at this time. Thank YOU for praying for our leaders!
