Darryl Rouson was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rouson earned a B.A. from Xavier University of Louisiana in 1977 and a J.D. from the University of Florida in 1980. His career experience includes working as an attorney with Rubenstein Law Firm. Rouson served as the president of the St. Petersburg NAACP.
