
Guy Guzzone was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 27, 1964. He attended Parkville High School and later the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Government and Politics in 1986, followed by a Master of Public Management in 1988. He also holds an Executive Certificate in Juvenile Justice: Multi-System Integration from the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute. Guzzone previously served as a legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Bill Nelson of Florida, as a special assistant and legislative assistant in Howard County, and as State Director for the Maryland Chapter of the Sierra Club. He served on the Howard County Council from 1998 to 2006. He was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2006, serving from 2007 to 2015, and has served in the Maryland Senate since 2015.
