
Senator Charles E. Sydnor, III was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and went on to earn a B.A. in History from Johns Hopkins University in 1996, an M.A. in Policy Sciences from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2000, and a J.D. from the University of Maryland, Carey School of Law in 2000. He served as a law clerk for the Circuit Court for Baltimore City from 2000 to 2001 and has worked as a Senior Attorney for Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. since 2001. Sydnor was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2014, serving from 2015 to 2020, and was sworn into the Maryland Senate on January 8, 2020.
