Mia Bonta earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University in 1993 and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1996. She also received a J.D. from Yale University Law School in 1999. Bonta’s career experience includes working as a nonprofit executive at Oakland Promise. She became President of the Alameda Unified School District Board in 2018.
