
Born Oct. 27, 1951, in West Point. Fred Meyer is a farmer and rancher who previously worked as a teacher and banker. He is a member of the Ag Builders of Nebraska, Nebraska Cattlemen, Nebraska Farm Bureau, Christ Lutheran Church, St. Paul Library Foundation, and the KAAPA Coop Board. He formerly served as a member of the Howard County Foundation, St. Paul Board of Education, and the Nebraska State Board of Education. He has received numerous honors including the Outstanding LEAD Alumni award, Friend of Education from the Nebraska State Education Association, the Elaine Stuhr Leadership and Advocacy Award, and has been recognized by the Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement.
