
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Antonio Hayes graduated from Frostburg State University in 2000 with a B.S. in Political Science. His previous professional experience includes serving as a Legislative Aide to Delegate Salima Siler Marriott from 2000 to 2002, Director of Legislative Affairs for the Baltimore City Council President from 2003 to 2006, and Assistant Deputy Mayor of Administration from 2007 to 2010. He has been employed with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services since 2010. He served in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2015 to 2018 and has been a member of the Maryland Senate since January 9, 2019.
