Art De La Cruz is a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 12. He assumed office on February 2, 2022. His current term ends on December 31, 2026. De La Cruz is running for re-election to the New Mexico House of Representatives to represent District 12. He is on the ballot in the Democratic primary on June 2, 2026. He was appointed to the seat in 2022, following the resignation of Brittney Barreras.
