Born in Elkton, Maryland, Jack Bailey attended St. Mary's Ryken High School. He went on to earn a B.S. in Management in 2013 and an M.S. in Management in 2014 from The Johns Hopkins University. Bailey served as a Natural Resources Police Officer from 1991 to 2004, and later worked for the Maryland Natural Resources Police as an Adjutant to the Superintendent and Legislative Liaison, as well as an Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. From 2007 to 2017, he served as a Sergeant and Covert Operations Unit Supervisor for the Maryland Natural Resources Police. He currently serves as an instructor and coach at the International Conservation Chiefs Academy. First elected to the Maryland Senate in 2018, he has been a member of the Senate since January 9, 2019.
