Sharice Davids is a member of the U.S. House, representing Kansas' 3rd Congressional District. She assumed office on January 3, 2019. Her current term ends on January 3, 2027. House to represent Kansas' 3rd Congressional District. Davids was one of the first two Native American women to win election to the U.S. Congress in history. The other, Debra Haaland in New Mexico, also won election in 2018. Davids was also the first LGBTQ Native American to be elected to the U.S. Congress.
