Marlon Amprey was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 24, 1987. He earned a B.A. in American Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2009, an M.Ed. in Elementary Instruction and Curriculum from George Mason University in 2011, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2016. He also holds a certificate in business management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Amprey began his career as an elementary school teacher with Teach For America from 2009 to 2011 and subsequently worked as a lead teacher at The SEED School of Maryland from 2011 to 2013. Following his legal education, he served as a corporate associate at several firms, including Venable LLP, DLA Piper, Cole Schotz P.C., and Mckennon Shelton & Henn, LLP, before becoming an associate at Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP in 2022. He has served in various public roles, including positions with the Pimlico Community Development Authority, West North Avenue Development Authority, and as a director for organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore, Patterson Park Public Charter School, and Code in the Schools.
