State Representative Jamie Callender is currently serving his eight term in the Ohio House of Representatives having previously served in the Ohio House between 1997 and 2004. He represents the 57th House District, which includes much of eastern Lake County as well as Kirtland, Kirtland Hills, and Waite Hill. Callender has an extensive record of service to Lake County, volunteering with a variety of organizations and serving on several boards, including the Lake County Historical Society and Mentor Public Library Board. During his previous tenure in the Ohio House, Callender was recognized for his work ethic, Conservative leadership, and advocacy for Lake County. He was also widely regarded for his leadership on issues related to K-12 education. After growing up in Concord Township and graduating from Mentor High School, Callender received his undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University and earned his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Callender continues to practice law in Lake County and formerly served as a professor at Kent State University. Callender resides in Concord Township near his family.
