Chase Blasi is a member of the Kansas State Senate, representing District 26. He assumed office on January 13, 2025. His current term ends on January 8, 2029. Senate Republicans elected Blasi state Senate majority leader, effective January 13, 2025. Blasi was born in Kansas in 1995. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Newman University in 2015. Blasi worked as the legislative policy director for the Kansas Department of Revenue, as chief of staff for two Senate presidents, and in community relations at electric company, Evergy. Blasi was appointed to the state Senate in 2023, replacing Sen. Gene Suellentrop. At the time, he was the youngest serving senator. Blasi was elected to the district in 2024 with 71.2% of the vote. As of 2025, he chaired the Senate Confirmation Oversight Committee. In a 2023 interview with Newman University, Blasi said, "As the youngest member of the Kansas Senate at 28 years old, and only a handful under the age of 50, I’ve had the opportunity to bring issues to light that countless young Kansans are struggling with. From access to safe, affordable childcare to the skills needed to succeed in the workforce, I’ve been able to champion issues that often get ignored simply because of generational differences."
