Lipscomb graduated from Coosa Christian High School in 1994 and subsequently spent two years at Gadsden State Community College. After transferring to Auburn, Lipscomb graduated with a bachelors of architecture degree. In his career, he worked at an architecture firm in his hometown. Additionally, he served as a general contractor for two years.
