
Born November 28, 1983. First elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2018. Member of the House since January 9, 2019. Lesley J. Lopez served as a News Desk Producer at Eurovision Americas, Inc. from 2006 to 2010 and as a Producer-News Gathering for BBC News from 2009 to 2010. She worked as a Press Secretary for U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar from 2010 to 2011 and as the Communications Director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus from 2011 to 2013. She served as an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Writing at George Washington University in 2013. She was the Director of Communications for the National Immigration Forum from 2013 to 2014, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee from 2014 to 2015, and served as the Communications and Publications Director for the U.S.-China Business Council from 2015 to 2017. Since 2017, she has served as the Chief Communications Officer for Run for Something. Her public service includes roles on the Montgomery County Board of Social Services, the Board of Directors for NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland, the Board of Directors for YWCA, and as a National Volunteer Partner for the Girl Scouts of the USA.
