Irene Shin is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 8. She assumed office on January 10, 2024. Her current term ends on January 12, 2028. Shin also ran in a special election to the U.S. House to represent Virginia's 11th Congressional District. She did not appear on the ballot for the special general election on September 9, 2025.
