Sampson studied marketing at Central Connecticut State University. His professional experience includes working as an insurance producer for Robert C. Sampson from 1992 to 2010 and for Insurance Resource LLC from 2003 to 2010. He also worked as a realtor for Family Homes Real Estate from 2004 to 2007. From 2007 to 2010, he was regional manager of Vision Real Estate.
