
Michael W. Day is the presiding judge of the Fourth Judicial Circuit in South Dakota. Day was appointed by Governor Dennis Daugaard on April 26, 2013, to a term which began in July 2013. Following to the retirement of Presiding Judge Warren G. Johnson on December 31, 2014, Day was appointed by Chief Justice David Gilbertson to be presiding judge of the court. He was re-elected to the court in 2014 for a term that expires in 2022.
