Christopher McDonald is a judge of the Iowa Supreme Court. He assumed office on April 5, 2019. His current term ends on December 31, 2028. McDonald ran for re-election for judge of the Iowa Supreme Court. He won in the retention election on November 3, 2020. McDonald first became a member of the court by appointment. On February 20, 2019, Gov. Kim Reynolds selected McDonald to succeed retired Justice Daryl Hecht. McDonald joined the court in April 2019. McDonald was a judge on the Iowa Court of Appeals from 2013 to 2019. He was appointed to the court by Governor Terry Branstad in September 2013.
