Jim Dunnigan lives in Taylorsville, Utah. He earned his B.S. in business management from the University of Utah in 1976. Dunnigan was the owner/insurance broker of Dunnigan Insurance from 1976 to 2004. Dunnigan was the state delegate of the Republican Party from 1990 to 1992. He also was councilman on the Taylorsville-Bennion Community Council from 1991 to 1996. From 1996 to 2002, he served on the Taylorsville City Council. Dunnigan then served as county delegate for the Republican Party from 2002 to 2004.
