
Debra Davis was born in Cheverly, Maryland, and attended Frederick Douglas High School. She earned her B.S. in Criminology from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1981 and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1994. She is an attorney and previously served as a career counselor at Henry E. Lackey High School from 2005 to 2008. Davis served on the Board of County Commissioners for Charles County, District 2, from 2010 to 2018. She was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2018 and has been a member since January 9, 2019. She is a fellow of both the Maryland State Bar Association Leadership Academy and the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy.
