Derek Stanford is a member of the Washington State Senate, representing District 1. He assumed office on July 1, 2019. His current term ends on January 8, 2029. Stanford was appointed to the office by the King and Snohomish County councils on July 1, 2019, to replace former Sen. Guy Palumbo.
