
Chuck Payne was born in Riverdale, GA. He graduated from Riverdale High School in 1982 and then served in the U.S. Army from 1984 to 1988, reaching the rank of Specialist. Payne's career experience includes working as a juvenile probation and parole officer at the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. He co-founded and co-directed the Crusaders of Faith and Freedom, served as Chair of the Whitfield County Republican Party, and a state committee member of the Georgia Republican Party. Payne was elected to the state senate in 2017.
