Pamelya Herndon is a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 28. She assumed office on June 22, 2021. Her current term ends on December 31, 2026. Herndon is running for re-election to the New Mexico House of Representatives to represent District 28. She is on the ballot in the Democratic primary on June 2, 2026. The Bernalillo County Commission appointed Herndon to the state House on June 22, 2021, to replace Melanie Ann Stansbury, who was elected to New Mexico's 1st Congressional District on June 1 of that year.
