Jake Sawyer is the elected representative for Utah House District 9. With a strong background in leadership, Jake is committed to addressing Utah's housing challenges and serving the needs of his community. He brings a results-driven approach to the state legislature, leveraging over 14 years of experience in executive leadership and team management. Before his election, Jake served as Chairman of the Weber County Republican Party for two terms, where he raised over $127k for the party, increased its representation on the state central committee, and organized an event with Dr. Ben Carson at Ogden High School. He also held senior roles in the mortgage and real estate industries, including as a Senior Lending Manager, where he achieved significant growth and was recognized with multiple industry awards such as the President's Club, Lending Excellence, and Strategic Financing Award. Jake was also honored as one of the Industry Makers & Shakers in 2017 and 2018 for his outstanding contributions to the field.
