
Tom Brandt was elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. He was born on December 1, 1959, in Beatrice. He graduated from Tri County High School in 1978 and received a B.S. in agricultural economics and mechanized agriculture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1982. He is a farmer and a former industrial engineer for Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich and project engineer for IBP. He is a member of the Southeast Nebraska Corn Growers Association, Jefferson County Republicans, the board of the Farmers Cooperative of Dorchester, the advisory council/nominating committee for Farm Credit Services of America, the Plymouth Improvement Association, and is the congregation president of First Trinity Lutheran Church.
