Richard Dietz is a judge of the North Carolina Supreme Court. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2031. Dietz ran for election for judge of the North Carolina Supreme Court. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022. Dietz was appointed to the North Carolina Court of Appeals by Republican Governor Pat McCrory on August 25, 2014, to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Robert N. Hunter, Jr. to the North Carolina Supreme Court.
