
Melissa Wells was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2018 and has served since January 9, 2019. Her professional background includes roles as a Financial Security Specialist, affordable housing assistant for the Local Initiative Support Corporation, policy assistant for the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, field advisor for Triple Point Interactions, program associate at PolicyLink, and Regional Director for the Baltimore-DC Building Trades Unions. She has participated in various public service capacities, including the Maryland Tourism Development Board, the Task Force to Study Solar Tax Incentives, the Maryland Sustainable Growth Commission, the Local/Video Lottery/Development Council for Baltimore City, and the Equal Pay Commission.
