Rachel Hunt is the Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina. She assumed office on January 1, 2025. Her current term ends on January 1, 2029. In this position, Hunt also serves as president of the state Senate and is a voting member of the State Board of Education, the State Board of Community Colleges, and the state Economic Development Board.
