Brian Evans is a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, representing District 68. He assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 11, 2027. The Republican primary for this office on March 3, 2026, was canceled. Evans was elected speaker of the Arkansas House of Representatives on May 9, 2024. He officially became speaker at the start of Arkansas' legislative session on January 13, 2025. In high school, Evans worked as a legislative page in the state legislature. He attended the University of Central Arkansas from 1986 to 1988. He transferred to Arkansas State University, earning a business management degree in 1990. After leaving school, he worked in logistics as a division manager for Addison Transportation, as a member of the Board of Directors for the Transportation Intermediaries Association, and as the president of L&L Freight Services, a company he founded.
