John Barrasso is a member of the U.S. Senate from Wyoming. He assumed office on June 25, 2007. His current term ends on January 3, 2031. Senate to represent Wyoming. Barrasso was appointed to the Senate in 2007 to fill the late Sen. Craig L. Thomas' seat. He won a special election in 2008 for the term running through 2013.
