Ned Lamont is the Governor of Connecticut. He assumed office on January 9, 2019. His current term ends on January 6, 2027. Lamont was born in Washington, D.C. He earned a B.A. in sociology from Harvard College in 1976 and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management in 1980. After graduating with his bachelor's degree, he worked for the Black River Tribune, a local weekly paper in Vermont. After graduating from Yale, he joined Cablevision and worked on their startup operation in Fairfield County, Connecticut. In 1984, he founded Campus Televideo, a company that provided cable and satellite services to college campuses.
