Senator Todd Nash is deeply connected to the culture, community, and values of Senate District 29. Having lived in the region since the age of five, Todd's life and career have been dedicated to strengthening Eastern Oregon's way of life and ensuring its unique needs are heard and addressed in Salem. As a small cattle ranch owner and former Wallowa County Commissioner, Todd brings decades of firsthand experience in the timber, farming, and ranching industries. His leadership and advocacy have consistently focused on supporting natural resource economies, protecting rural communities, and fostering economic growth throughout Oregon. Now serving as Senator for District 29—the first senator in Oregon's history from Wallowa County—Todd is committed to giving Eastern Oregon a strong and respected voice in the legislature. Prior to being elected to senate, he served as President of the Oregon Cattlemen's Association and held leadership roles with the Association of Oregon Counties as Co-Chair of the Natural Resource Committee and a member of the Public Lands Committee for the National Association of Counties. For 15 years, he also co-chaired the Wallowa County 4-H/FFA Fair Livestock Sale, supporting young agricultural leaders. Todd has been active with the state legislature going back to 2010 helping to shape many state policies within farming, timber, ranching and natural resource issues. Most recently during the 2023 legislative session, he was instrumental in the passing of Senate Bill 955 which created the Oregon Agri-Stress Hotline, a crisis helpline for Oregon's agricultural and forestry communities. Todd's leadership has been recognized statewide with numerous accolades, including the Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Wallowa County Cattlemen of the Year, Honorary Cattlemen of the Year, and the American Forest Resource Council's Tillicum Award.
