Rep. Courpas is a resident of Greenwich (Glenville), where she has lived for almost 20 years and has raised her family. She has worked for over 20 years in investment banking and corporate law, beginning her career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and working most recently at Silver Point Capital, a hedge fund in Greenwich. Rep. Courpas then spent six years running two non-profit organizations. She was Executive Director of The Hellenic Initiative, the largest Greek Diaspora organization in the world, raising funds to invest in Greece’s economic recovery. She also served as the Executive Director of the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women in Connecticut, a bipartisan legislative non-profit corporation with a 50-year legacy. Rep. Courpas has always been dedicated to issues related to women, girls and education. She was on the Board of Trustees of St. Paul’s School for Girls in Baltimore, MD, and has been a leader in women’s initiatives for Princeton University. She has served Greenwich and Stamford as a campaign volunteer, fundraiser and parents’ association member of her children’s schools, associate member of the Greenwich Republican Town Committee, volunteer for Domus Kids in Stamford, and volunteer at her church. She is the daughter of two Greek immigrants and the proud mother of four children.
