Timothy Moffitt is a member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 48. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2027. The Republican primary for this office on March 3, 2026, was canceled. Moffitt was appointed to the North Carolina House of Representatives by Gov. Roy Cooper on Oct. 12, 2020, following the resignation of Charles McGrady.
