Anita Earls is a judge of the North Carolina Supreme Court. She assumed office on January 1, 2019. Her current term ends on December 31, 2026. The Democratic primary for this office on March 3, 2026, was canceled. Earls first became a member of the North Carolina Supreme Court through a partisan election. She was first elected to the court in 2018 to the seat vacated by Barbara Jackson.
