Robert Peters is a member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 13. He assumed office in 2019. His current term ends on January 10, 2029. Peters ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 2nd Congressional District. He lost in the Democratic primary on March 17, 2026.
