
Born in Washington, DC, on May 2, 1964, Stephen S. Hershey, Jr. attended Bowie High School and James Madison University for two years. He earned a B.C.E. in Civil Engineering from the Catholic University of America in 1987 and an M.B.A. from George Washington University in 2002. His professional career includes serving as Vice President for the Trammell Crow Company from 1999 to 2003, Vice President for JLL, Jones Lang LaSalle, Staubach Company from 2006 to 2023, and Vice-President at TECfusions starting in 2023. He served as a youth football coach from 2006 to 2009 and as a delegate to the Republican Party National Convention in 2012 and 2016. He was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2010, serving from 2011 to 2013. He was appointed to the Maryland Senate on September 18, 2013, sworn in on October 1, 2013, and first elected to the Senate in 2014.
