Born in Baltimore, Maryland, March 2, 1977. Elizabeth Embry graduated from Baltimore City College High School in 1995; Yale University, B.A., Ethics, Politics and Economics, 1999; and Columbia University School of Law, J.D., 2004. She has served as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office, an Assistant Solicitor for the Law Department for Baltimore City, Special Assistant to the Secretary for the Maryland Department of Labor, and Interim Director for the Mayor's Office for Criminal Justice. She served as Deputy State's Attorney for the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office, Chief of the Criminal Division for the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, and Special Assistant Attorney General for the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. Additionally, she has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law and the University of Maryland, Carey School of Law. She was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in November 2022 and has served as a member since January 11, 2023.
