Cheryl E. Pasteur was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in November 2022 and has served as a member since January 11, 2023. Her professional experience includes working as an English teacher with Baltimore City Schools from 1971 to 1975, Director of Community Programs for the United Way of Central Maryland from 1975 to 1977, and a drama and speech teacher for Baltimore City Schools from 1977 to 1988. She served as an agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 1983 to 1988, held various roles including teacher, chair, equity specialist, assistant principal, and principal in Baltimore County Public Schools from 1988 to 2012, and was an instructor for the graduate cohort at Morgan State University from 2010 to 2013. She served on the Baltimore County Board of Education from 2018 to 2022.
