Devin LeMahieu is a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing District 9. He assumed office on January 5, 2015. His current term ends on January 4, 2027. LeMahieu ran for re-election to the Wisconsin State Senate to represent District 9. He will not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on August 11, 2026. LeMahieu was born in Oostburg, Wisconsin, in 1972. He attended Sheboygan County Christian High School and graduated from Dordt College with a bachelor's degree in political science and business administration in 1995. In 2002, he became owner and publisher of Lakeshore Weekly, an advertising mailer business. LeMahieu was a member of the Sheboygan County Board from 2006 to 2015. He was first elected to the Wisconsin State Senate in 2014, defeating Martha Laning 60%-40% in the race for District 9. LeMahieu was elected as Senate majority leader in 2020, and re-elected in 2022 and 2024. Following his 2024 re-election, LeMahieu said, "The number one issue we heard from voters was the effect of rising costs and inflation. Senate Republicans’ top priority will be returning the state’s surplus to hardworking families."
