James Tedisco is a member of the New York State Senate, representing District 44. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2027. Tedisco is a former Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 110 from 1983 to 2013 and District 112 from 2013 to 2017. As of the 2014 session, he served as minority whip. He previously served as deputy minority whip and Assembly assistant minority whip. His political experience includes being a former minority leader pro tempore for the New York State, a 2009 candidate in a special election for New York's 20th Congressional District, and a councilman for the Schenectady City Council.
